I am grateful to have spent time with Phil when he was here in VA. I enjoyed talking to him about politics and religion. He has a deep knowledge of the Catholic faith and I learned a lot from him. I ​also enjoyed his biscotti and other pastries.

Bella, I truly appreciate the kindness and affectionate Phil showed my Mom, when you and he would visit us at our house. My Mom had a lot of fun with both of you.
Phil is truly a good man with a good heart.

Hey mom, I'm sure he'd be happy with everything you did for him. We'll miss you, dad. I still can't believe he went dog sledding across Alaska in his 70s. Thank for everything you both did for us.
